It is interesting to note that his daughter made her mark as Susannah Sheals - she was the partner of Robert Ridley Nessworthy in North Shields. Also of note is that the Parish Church of St Nicholas was elevated to the status of cathedral with the creation of the Diocese of Newcastle some ten years later.
